Shame on me. I've done this several times before, but apparently I cannot get used to it. When I first used the new patched pktsetup I also had a hard time to find out how to use it correctly. When you run pktsetup without parameters you get a usage message that says: pktsetup dev_name /dev/cdrom
From that you can guess that you can substitute an arbitrary name for dev_name, but it's not quite obvious. An additional README or Changelog entry would be extremely helpful.

Likely won't work, too. Try sth. like "pktsetup mycd /dev/hdc". This will create /dev/pktcdvd/mycd and that's the device you can use for mounting. This way it works for us, while doing like the man page says doesn't work here either.
