I had posted this problem earlier, but now I have the machine standardized on tumbleweed and have removed the stable kernel etc.
TOSHIBA Satellite L775D/TKBSS, BIOS 1.50 10/18/2011 machine running openSUSE 20160411 (x86_64) with kernel 4.5.0-3-default. The machine boots to multiuser target just fine. Then I start graphical target with systemctl isolate graphical.target.
Can you see your active connection while logged in text mode, before you start GUI? Use e.g. nmtui for it.
I am using xfce. Once I log into the GUI, the wifi network disconnects. In the nm-applet, I do not even see any wifi networks listed. Once I restart NetworkManager, networking starts working fine and the machine connects to wifi just fine.
How exactly you restart NetworkManager?

I think this is normal when NM stops active connection. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
