Does anyone else have this as an issue? The system gets the "System Halted" message but does not do the next step of turning the machine off. (i pressed ESC after selecting shutdown to watch the text display of the shutdown process)
Is there a configuration item for this or does it sound like a bug?
It sounds _very_ familiar, but you haven't mentioned what you're trying to log off from, or how. What happens if you try shutdown or reboot logged in as root? Is sysvinit-init installed? Is KDM installed? GDM? Search the list archives from a month or three ago and you'll probably find what's needed.
I've tried all the menu driven shutdown choices. I've even tried "init 0" from a terminal session. It shuts down the OS but does not turn off the machine. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
