that sounds reasonable *if* this is a new install, which was not connected to the net during initial install, or was not allowed to update as part of the install process....and, has not been updated since installation..
But it's not... It's been getting updated daily since March or so.
I guess it has something to do with the release of 12.2.
no, nothing to do with 12.2
Then I wonder what...
Anyway, I changed the baseurl in openSUSE-12.1-12.1-1.4.repo from http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/openSUSE-stable/repo/oss/ to http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1/repo/oss/ and things seem to have gotten back to normal.
yes, that makes sense....i must admit i didn't read your words carefully enough, and missed the full address including "...distribution/openSUSE-stable/..." which you and i both now know is *not* the same as ".../distribution/12.1/..." *and* obviously the two do not contain the _same_ packages.. what i wonder now is how your system got to be pointed at "openSUSE-stable" rather than the default "12.1" ??? maybe a pbkac bug? -- dd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
