Hi All,
First, thanks to Dirk Gently and upscope for the installation help and the installation automating script. Dirk, the "R" on the end of "SCANLETTE" in the 6th line of the scanner script is missing.
I recently obtained an Brother MFC-J6710DW printer and installed the requisite drivers for network use. Works great!
The only problem I'm having is trying to print in duplex (two-sided) mode. I haven't been able to find out where to set that attribute. Duplex printing is working from Winblows-7 but not Linux. (screenshots attached)
So far I've searched through the ppd file (from Brother), cups 1.5 documentation, and openSuSE documentation but can't find it.
I'd appreciate suggestions about where to look or what to do.
Looking at the second screen shot, click on Properties... button. you should find the setting there.
Hi Ken ;) When I clicked the properties button the display showed what is in the first screenshot, i.e. "Two-Sided" is turned off, but there is no way to change it. I tried clicking both left & right but no way to change it showed up. I went into both Yast2 > Hardware > Printers and through Cups http interface (localhost:631) but could not find a way to change the Two-Sided attribute. Would you please direct me to where it can be changed?
