On my KDE4.8 install... single user - I didn't have time to test on a
new user/config.
i'd definitely do that. doesn't take much time, and i've seen many puzzling KDE issues that go away with a new config.
at the moment i can't get strigi to work with my main user acct., per example, but it works fine on a fresh one. still couldn't figure out why that is, but strigi isn't important enough for me to spend real time on it.
