Aaah! This is actually very familiar and at one point was the cause of a lot of frustration for me but found a work around that gave me suitable stability (see below).
I suppose this is somewhat anecdotal, but the work around for me was to use dolphin without the information panel open.
Speaking of that information panel... Why is it that when the selection or mouse over lands on a .mp3 or .aac file the information panel shows a mini music player with a button that is active, but does nothing?
