After upgrading to 11.3, I've noticed something strange happening when browsing websites with Firefox. I'm not saying it's related to 11.3, I'm just saying I just noticed it after upgrading. As I'm scrolling on a page using the laptop's touchpad, I'll unexpectedly be transferred to another website. A couple times it was www.eth0.com, another time it was www.c.com. It will sometimes pop-up an alert box with "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded". This happens when I'm browsing different websites, so I cannot say it is occurring on one particular site, or on sites with or without media or with flash, etc.
I can say it happens regularly when I hold the left button down for a length of time and touch the pad to scroll. It does not happen if I tap the left button and use the scroll bars on the browser.
If I was on Windows, I would say this acted like a virus/trojan or some other outside source or hack. But after reading what I have on Linux, this is very rare.
Any ideas?
i get the same thing with my desktop and mouse if i am using the scroll wheel and i accidentally push too hard on it -- that causes a middle-mouse button event which you can configure in firefox i strongly suspect you are having middle mouse button events triggered by your touchpad sc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
