Hi.
A friend of mine has a ;aptop running OS 11.2 and KDE 4.3.5 would like to update to 4.4. whatever the most recent stable
What is the URL to do a complete KDE update meaning everything the Suse extras the lot
I have:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/STABLE:/Desktop/open SUSE_11.2/ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/Desktop/op enSUSE_11.2/ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Playground/Desktop/o penSUSE_11.2/
I forgot to mention that STABLE: (you said you wanted the most recent stable) is 4.3.5. There is no 'officially' stable 4.4. You get whatever is in Factory: that day. Factory != stable. You have to decide for one or the other.
Hi . Ok well i guess it boils down to how stable is the 4.4 tree as far as not crashing all the time , If i tell this guy to ad repos and then it starts playing up on him i get to spend dang hours on the phone sorting him out (how the hell he can afford it on a mobile in the UK i will never know) I'll have a think on it i do believe i aint into excessive work :-) Cheers Pete . -- Powered by openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 2 (x86_64) Kernel: 2.6.30-rc6-git3-4- default KDE: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) "release 1" 08:24 up 15 days 22:35, 2 users, load average: 0.26, 0.18, 0.07
