Given the various emails I have received. I think it is time we had a name for our initiative. Wow, I don't like any of those. What's wrong with openSLE ? Orignally, I wanted openSLE or openSLES. The problem comes with Trademarks. I think the naming of CentOS reflects the issues with choosing something. I want to avoid problems that could/would appear if we used the name. Emails I have had from various places have shown that we need a new name for the initiative.
I'd like to see proof there's a trademark on "SLE".
Also I would like to avoid confussion. I still remember all the problems
with SUSE Linux and SuSE Enterpise Linux. I may have the names wrong in
my memory. I just know that I had people often not buy the correct one.
There always was a lot of confussion between the two. The name may have
had Professional in it. I really want people getting what they want
because it is a clear difference.
