so it is said that intel graphic driver is installed by default when we have intel graphic card.
Yep.
but the perfomance of intel driver is bad. i tried it on 2 different notebooks and both could not run google earth. with ATi or NVDIA, it runs so smooth. any bright idea for me to run google earth on intel 945 GM chip without problem? i m using opensuse
IIRC, not all graphic cards are supported by Google Earth. It requires 3D hardware acceleration. Does the Intel card have 3d hardware acceleration?

Many people are experiencing problems with the Intel 945 chipset on all distros with Google Earth. Open GL must be on.
