Hi,
I'm using openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.2.1, with which I'm very happy. :)
But I'm not sure how often I should update my system. In other words, what is the difference between the installed and available package in
kde4-dolphin 4.2.1-75.5(4.2.1-75.7)?
The righthandmost (is that a word?) digit seems to increment itself by 1 each day, and this is true of all the packages in KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop. Are these changes significant, or should I be watching the first integer following the dash? I am not an expert, so take my words with a pinch of low salt. The righthandmost digit is the build digit. Next to that is the patch number. I generally go by patch numbers. Now if things seem to work well for me then I do not bother updating but wait till the next release by KDE.
