Doesn't work for me either, but I'm on SUSE 10.3 rather than 11 and using the build from the ati repo for 10.3, so maybe it's not relevant.
I had posted this a few weeks back on my issue with the ATI driver. I built and installed mine as a distro specific per the ATI instructions. My DRI didn't work either which kept the 3D from working. In fact, the xgl stuff over all seemed pretty messed up. I'm running a X64 installation using 11.1. I found that it was referencing the 32 bit location instead of the 64 bit. This is an ATI issue not a SuSE. This is my work around fix if it helps.... /var/log/xorg.0.log error in calling /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so when using a 64 bit system Delete the /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so and assign a link to the x64 version... then check it with ls -ls 15 cd /usr/lib/dri/ 16 rm fglrx_dri.so 17 ln -s /usr/lib64/dri/fglrx_dri.so fglrx_dri.so 18 ls -ls 19 init 3 -- Thank you, Michael.A.Sterba -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
