well being as this is 11.1 with a kernel version of 2.6.27.7-9-default it is supposed to work but how do i get it to connect so far the information on this is very poor

I used this modem with openSuSE 11.0 with no problem, but I haven't tried with 11.1 Use yast to configure your modem, then connect using knetworkmanager. Alternatively you could use wvdial.

I had tried to use yast but it would not allow me to set it up under 11.1 i have been trying using wvdial but am seeing some kernel problems when trying
i am going to try using 10.3 on the other drive see if that works if it does it's yet another problem for 11.1
