Try creating a LVM on top of a RAID array. This worked fine in 11.0, but I've not been able to in 11.1
When I tried to initially create a RAID 1 device, it demanded to have 2 disks, rather than let me, add one later when I was ready to silver. So I gave up at that point. Presumably there's nothing in the underlying tools that stops you from creating, incomplete, initial setups, to be completed later when hardware resources become available? OS install time, is exactly when disks are not available, as you keep an online backup of your previous data, by un-mirroring, with fall back plan to re-silver the old stuff, if the new install doesn't work out. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
