According to the openSUSE 11.0 Roadmap [1] Sept. 5th was the day when "we settle for a KDE brach to go for". Do we know what branches they are going with? How will the new proposed KDE 4.2 / 4.3 release date changes affect this? Will KDE 3.5.10 still be shipped? With the changed schedule of KDE 4.2, I don't think it'll be fully prime, thus pushing me to wait for KDE 4.3 to even think about switching with my production machine (the plasma and pim groups are against the change, because they don't believe they'll get everything they need into the shortened releases) (2 weeks for KDE 4.2 and 2 weeks for KDE 4.3). I can't wait until I consider KDE 4 stable for a production work machine, since I am looking forward to using it, but the current state isn't usable (the missing PIM features, the erratic behavior of plasma, the status of kaffiene, amarok, and many other applications I depend on.. yes, I depend on amarok at work). So back to my original question.. does anyone know which KDE branches were decided on the 5th?
