1. Which KDE are you using, v3.x or v4.x? I know this is targeted at KDE desktop users, but I have KDE 3 on 11.0 and have not installed 4. I use e16 (and when I get round to configuring some stuff hopefully e17) and almost never use KDE directly by choice nowadays...
However, there are a couple of KDE 3 based apps that I do use on occasion which currently do play nice with enlightenment. KDE 3 is now there mainly to ensure that I can use these apps. I suppose at some point I have to worry about whether the KDE4 equivalents will do same (it will be very irritating if they dont )... We would need to know the apps you use to be able to comment on that.
Use of KDE apps on non KDE desktops is a further area of consideration. In general, you will need kdelibs to run KDE apps on non KDE desktops. This is not really been a problem in the past and I see no reason why it woulld be so in the future.
