Hey everyone,
I have a question about playing and ripping video.
I recently upgraded my laptop from 10.3 to 11. So far, I am fairly impressed, especially with the new package management. It's fast!
However, I have a problem playing back videos and also ripping video. It doesn't matter which type (avi, mpeg, mpg), they all result in a blue video window, but I can hear the audio. I have tried, Kaffeine, Mplayer, VLC, SMplayer...all the same result. So I assume I am missing a codec (or several).
However, I have installed the w32-codecs package from Packman, also libxine1- w32dll from Packman, Mplayer from Packman, SMPlayer from Packman...
Can someone please tell me what more I could be missing?
Thanks in advance,
Joop
Try playing the files with, mplayer -vo x11 <filename> from commandline and report back. Manne -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
