Why can't Linux distributions be as good as Windows XP? Any thoughts?
As good as XP in terms of what? Out of the box hardware support? That's not Linux, that's the hardware maker. Applications/Games? Well try and convince a software-house that you want to use their app on Linux and not Windows, and they'll tell you that there is no Linux market, but they won't mention that they're catch-22ed on this, they won;t develop for Linux because they aim at Windows, and kill any Linux market. Now as far as stability, and a whole raft of other things (like security?), why can't XP be as good as Linux? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
