One bit of caution - I could not get this unit to work properly when I first tried it with Linux. That changed when I later tried it on a machine with USB 2.0. (The first one didn't have any 2.0 ports) In Windows if it is used with a USB 1.x port, it automatically operates in 802.1b mode only. If it is plugged into a USB 2.0 port in Windows, it looks for 802.1g and operates in that mode if the router supports it. Most flavors of Linux seem happy with the USB 2.0 mode only.
I have had mine for at least 2 years, but they may still be available. http://yhst-65141441995333.stores.yahoo.net/gigafast-80211bg-wireless-lan-us...
They appear to be for sale at the link above, but it is unclear which version it is.
Ok......thanks, Lee! Fred -- Linux is an old Latin word meaning, "I don't have to support your Windows anymore." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
