Hi, I'm trying to get 3D support with Intel 945G onboard graphics. I've enabled it in sax, and 3Ddiag says all is correct but I cannot run GL-117 nor any open gl screen savers. 3Ddiag's output is :- 3Ddiag version 0.742 Verifying 3D configuration: Using 3dinfo ************************************************************
Verifying 3D configuration for 3D board "Intel Corporation 945G (8086@2772)":
Tests for X.Org configuration: Config File /etc/X11/xorg.conf ... done. Driver ... done. Extensions ... done. Options ... done.
Checking GL/GLU/glut runtime configuration: GL/GLU ... done (package Mesa) glut ... done (package freeglut)
What version of Intel Drivers are you running? I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend updating using the Xorg repository [1]. This will update your Intel driver to the latest and may help with your issue.
[1] http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_10.3/ Drivers all up to date (I'm used to nvidia doing it all for me) and I have two driver modules called intel loaded and if it's any help here's the output from glxgears:- Arbuthnot:/home/davepl # glxgears -info -v Window x=0, y=0, width=300, height=300 Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". glxgears: Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual. I can remember seeing something about Intel 945G in a thread before but I can't find anything useful in archives. Regards Dave P
