On 10.3, how do i get a screen capture? I have tried ctrl-print screen, alt-print screen and shift-print screen but nothing works. Also googled but did not find anything for opensuse. Klipper is running but don't see that it has "captured" anything.
There are all sorts of ways to get a screenshot on suse 10.3, from the old tried and true xv, to ksnapshot, with I use several times a week. ^^ I think you misspelled xgrab.
Nope, xv is the ticket - but there are a lot of old programs which could be used as well. xv did a lot of things, but it also included a handy little screenshot function - just click the "grab" button near the bottom right hand corner of the main menu.

I use alt-print scrn all the time in OpenSuse 10.3 (KDE). After alt-primt scrn, I right click anywhere on the desktop wallpaper and select "paste clipboard contents". It then gives a choice of what graphic file format to create (png is default).
