poweroff
is the command I use. It's shorter :)

'init 6' is even shorter than 'poweroff'.
But I think that 'halt' is the shortest at all. ;)

[ctrl][alt][supr] is even shorter :-P

You can define that combination to be reboot or halt. No need to be
logged in.
