Thanks Rajko, Cameron and Carlos!
It was strange, but I went through this again, fresh install -> add
oss, non-oss, update repos and then update, then add videolan ->
libdvdcss -> remove videolan -> add packman -> the same problems with
amarok.
playing around a bit I discovered that it gives package dependency
failures for libtunepimp5 (and more), so I went to that package, there
I had two of them libtunepimp and libtunepimp5. When I tried to update
the libtunepimp it failed, but if for libtunepimp5 it updated and
automatically deleted the other one.
I also had to go and "manually" update the libspeex package (right
click - update, I have no idea why it was giving the package depedency
problems with that) and then amarok updated successfully.
One thing, I still have that always updating amarok down there, but
when I go to yast it doesn't show that the new version is available.
I will really give it a second thought next time when thinking of
reinstalling the system.
Thanks a lot again!

Do you _really_ need to add the VideoLAN repo?
A similar issue also took place in my computer a few months ago, when I
added these same repositories. After I removed VideoLAN repo, all these
"change the vendor" messages stopped.
As the only package from VideoLAN repo that I really need is libdvdcss,
I just downloaded it using the web browser. All other codecs I use I get
from PackMan, through YaST2.
I also update the whole system enabling only oss, non-oss and update
repositories; only after doing so I will add PackMan and install
additional codecs and other stuff. However this is a personal policy.
Thanks Rajko, Cameron and Carlos!
