Two things. Have you installed the fglrx drivers? If so, did you run the
aticonfig program?

And just out of curiousity, is the command you ran the same as you
typed? If so, it's fglrx and not fxglr.


Is this something I should be reporting to Novell/openSUSE or ?

I don't think so. I don't believe that they support these drivers.
