[opensuse] failure to enable 3d mode (whilst installing/setting up xgl)
I've got a new graphics card (Radeon X1650) and I was trying to get Xgl to run. When I tried to enable 3d (sax -r -m 0=fxglr), I got a segfault. Is this something I should be reporting to Novell/openSUSE or ? /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - your spam is our business. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

And just out of curiousity, is the command you ran the same as you typed? If so, it's fglrx and not fxglr.

I don't think so. I don't believe that they support these drivers. Yep, works fine.

No, what I ran was the correct version.

Well, I was wondering about that, particuarly as Xgl is part of SLED10. I might just write up a report and see what happens. /Per /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - your spam is our business. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ok.. Just a thought..

OK.. I mistype it so often, that I have to look before typing it.

Sounds like a plan. And it never hurts. The worst that will happen is that they ignore it.
