flat monitor. > do you mean a lcd or crt-flat?
same video mode. > is it 4:3? what resolution?
do you get the 'off-center' effect vertically or horizontally?

ok. so which hz value do you use for 'vertrefresh' in the text-mode and
which one in the video-mode (X)?
