The cost of hardware outside the US is very expensive. For example If I order a Dell P4 HT 3.2GHz with 1 GIG of RAM and say 80GB HDD this would cost aprox AUD1,500.00 or USD2,112.00 and 1 stick of 1GB DDR2 RAM AUD 169.00 USD 238.00 and HDD 200GB SATA AUD119.00 USD 167.00. I send this out just so you know the sorts of costs NEW or upgrading a PC is a very expensive proposition. A Business needing to upgrade hardware so that VISTA will perform is outrageous as you can see. This is why the AU Market is very interested in Linux now as current hardware with Linux installed is a very good proposition for a lot of medium to large businesses.
