I was bit by this one recently. Try starting pcscd service. I noticed on my machine (10.1 x86_64 upgraded from 9.3) that usbfs was not being mounted after booting. A search in /etc/init.d allowed me to find it apparently now needs this smart card daemon now to mount usbfs (I think it used to be done in boot.localfs). Try that anyway.
Thanks, but the man and config files indicate that pcscd is *not* for usb. It was not running and starting it did not appear to make a difference. thanks again, -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
