They make a fairly decent industrial robot, as long as you don't want it to do anything terribly fancy. Has a nice, gentle learning curve. However, you can't run Linux on it. :(

In an attempt to at least bring this thread back to some form of relevance :-))))) It surprises me that industrial robots don't run on Linux. The ones I have seen appear to have some form of Unix like operating system.
