Did you try the packages from the factory?
http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/
If they can't be installed directly (openssl for example has been upgraded in
factory, that might present a dependency problem) the src.rpm can usually be
rebuilt easily
