On Novell page http://www.novell.com/documentation/index.html?sourceidint=hdr_support_doc there is downloadable documentation for products:
SUSE Linux 10 SUSE Linux 9.3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 Package Descriptions
SUSE Linux Desktop
SUSE Linux Openexchange Server SUSE Linux Retail Solution 8 SSP3
Is SUSE Linus Desktop a part of Linux 9.3 or 10.0?
Hi Lonn. To answer this first question. I believe SuSE Linux desktop is both 9.3 and 10. They are just different versions. I might be wrong though as I haven't heard it called 'SuSE Linux Desktop. I have heard of Novell Linux Desktop which is 'possibly' a cut down version of SuSE Linux.
Does "boxed" distribution contain different documentation?
Ok, here I am on more certain ground. SuSe Linux Pro 9.3 contains both a printed Admin manual with quite comprehensive installation instructions and administrative tasks and a User manual which is the day to day tasks associated with a general PC user. SuSE 10 has a rather brief set up guide..... that's it. If you want the Admin guide then you need to download and print it out yourself (if you want a printed version that is).
Is there a description of differences or specifications for SUSE Linux 9.3 and 10.0?
I think that there probably is. It will be somewhere on the SuSE Novell website but I don't have an URL for it.
Where does one obtain the up-to-date product with documentation?
It depends where you live in the world. If you have a regional Amazon store then they will certainly stock it. Otherwise try a Google/Froogle search for your country. Hope this is of some help. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Take care this Xmas.
