I would like to use vmware 5 on my suse 91. I have the following error when I try to make cloneconfig && make modules
No rule to make target `cloneconfig'. Stop.
I do not have any /linux under /usr/src/ all I have there is a directory named /packages Whare else can I have that directory? what can I do? if I have to install anything can I use Yast in irder to install what ever I need to install? I do not have the installation cds, so how can I tell yast to look for an online resource, is there any online resource I may use ? cheers.
Install the kernel source package, then run make cloneconfig && make modules as root. The kernel source package is on the CDs or DVD, or you can download it.

It should only be necessary to run make cloneconfig && make prepare-all which will run faster than make modules. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
