This may be a stupid question, but are you all running the identical version of Firefox?... same package, same packager and installed in the same way?
rpm -qa | grep Firefox shows MozillaFirefox-1.0-2.1
However... and this is a side benefit of apt4rpm - ;-) - you can just forget what you installed, when *and* where it came from :-P
I can't think of another reason the 'same' application would respond internally one way on system 'A' and differently on system 'B' with the platform type and OS being the same.
