Recognize this warning? I have read a lot of so called solutions in mailinglists, forums etcetera. Unfortunately these solutions were based on guessing and not research or facts. And yes, I am also a victim of the same warning and it annoyed the hell out of me. So I set out to solve it once and for all. The problem occurs (like some of you have correctly stated) when you upgrade gtk2 from 2.2.0 to 2.4.0. The problem lies in the QtPixmap-0.28-22.i586.rpm ftp://ftp.univie.ac.at/systems/linux/suse/i386/9.1/suse/i586/QtPixmap-0.28-2... package. It installs the qtpixmap libs to /opt/gnome/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/engines but the upgraded gtk2 looks for the libraries in /opt/gnome/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines. Solution: Move the files libqtpixmap.la and libqtpixmap.so from /opt/gnome/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/engines to /opt/gnome/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines. Hopefully this makes some people happy!
