Did you try without "vga=normal" ?

Is there a TV cable connected to your card ?
With these replies I think I'll be able to help you, since I succeeded with my two boxes.

Hi:
I have tried
vga=0x317 result is broken console vga=normal result is broken console vga=<none> result is broken console
By "<none>" I mean that the boot parameter was not present at all, on the boot prompt.
Any clues about what to do next? There must be some other configuration aspects that are involved.
Thanks.
Ok, but you didn't reply to my two other questions ! Is there a TV input connected to your card ? Is TV out enabled in XF86Config ? Michel.
