run xine-check and make sure everytying says [good ] Then try kaffeine, its an alternate front end for xine that seems to work better than xine-ui in the current version. kaffeine is a very simple front end, but it seems to automate the setup of zine better than fiddeling with all the settings in the zine ui. _____________________________________ John Andersen
John, I have both xine-ui (Version 0.99.2-0.pm.0i586) and kaffeine (Version 0.4.3b-0.pm.0i586) installed. Are you suggesting that I should not have both? FYI, here is the output of xine-check. It says "good," but should I have any concerns? Thanks, Gil gil@phred:~> xine-check Please be patient, this script may take a while to run...
