I've got postfix/cyrus/mysql running on my server. I can send mail to users on the server from any network box. I cannot send mail to users on the server from the server. The error I get is: May 8 08:58:14 yoda postfix/smtpd[8663]: warning: yoda.kitty.cat[192.168.0.99]: SASL LOGIN authentication failed I am running: SuSE 9.0 postfix 2.1.1 (self compiled with mysql support) cyrus (the RPM from SuSE 9.0) Here's what's odd: Kmail works fine if I specify "sendmail" as the transport. This works from any box on the network. Thunderbird works when run from any box besides the server, as long as the local box is used as the server. It will not send listing the server box as the delivery server. Thunderbird will not send from the server box to any destination, on the server, on the lan, or on the internet. It doesn't matter which box I choose as the send server. This is where I get the above errors on send.
