send us what you get in /etc/sysconfig/network/if* files and .../wireless
Here they are in a tar.bz file. the file "wireless" came from /etc/sysconfig/network. The file wireless2 came from /etc/pcmcia/wireless. I really appreciate any and all help. Networking is not my strong suit, and I do want to learn. When I get this going, I'll try to put together a step by step set of instructions to submit to the unofficial FAQ. Note that I have (hopefully temporarily) disabled WEP on my Linksys Router. I want to turn it back on, but thought that it would be wise to simply get Wireless Networking up in a vanilla format first. I *DO* want to secure the network, but that can wait until it can at least talk to the router.
