I purchase a Apacer Handy Steno SL202 USB 2.0 Flash Drive that is Linux compatible. Try running as root, fdisk -l. When you find out the filesystem type, try "mount -t fstype /dev/sda1 /media/sda1", replacing fstype with the results from fdisk -l for sda1.
