Hello, I purchase a Apacer Handy Steno SL202 USB 2.0 Flash Drive that is Linux compatible. When I plug it in a USB port, it is recognized as sda1 device but don't work, the following message is displayed: Could not mount device The reported error was: /dev/sda1: Input/output error mount: I could not determine the filesystem type, and none was specified The USB port is used also, but not simultaneously, by a digital camera Sony DSC-P71. What can I do to configure correctly this flash memory? Thank you Thadeu

Try running as root, fdisk -l. When you find out the filesystem type, try "mount -t fstype /dev/sda1 /media/sda1", replacing fstype with the results from fdisk -l for sda1.
