I have a dvd player that is hooked up to my tv that will play cd's as well if they are in the iso 9660 format.
Are you sure it doesn't just play VCDs and mp3 CDs? I've not seen one that claims to cope with arbitrary file types.
I read that it needs to be in iso 9660 format.
This is the normal standard for CDs and k3b creates CDs compatible with this standard (you can also add extensions if you like, but this doesn't break iso9660 compatibility).
