I'm a freelance Network Administrator. As I already mentioned before to the list, I'm a windows senior admin, wanting to move things into Linux. I work at home, so that's my office, and that is why I said I wanted to buy the new set of servers to had at home.
I usued to have a couple of Dual Athlon MP 1800+ with Asus boards, but I sold them, and now I'm trying to figure out what to buy. Any suggestion will be greatly apretiated.
I would say, that if you're aiming for top performance with SuSE Linux, go for AMD Opteron. SuSE has x86-64 versions available. And upcoming "standard" releases are rumoured to also include full Opteron support. Anders Norrbring Norrbring Consulting
