Looks like SuSEfirewall2 does not like something. So the question is does your new kernel boot without any problems with the start of the SuSEfirewall2. If it does when you issue "/sbin/SuSEfirewall2" command what happens -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
