Kernel the hell continues!!!!!
I sincerely do not know more what to make, I do not obtain compiliar kernel of the SuSE, it comes with a KERNEL default, I I need to apply one patch to correct the problem of the NAT with PPTP, and simply I do not obtain, I followed the steps of the not official FAQ of the SuSE where it cites the following steps. rpm - ivh kernel-sources**.rpm cd /usr/src/linux patch -Np1 -i pptp.contrack-nat.patch vi Makefile, inserts in Extraversion=pptp the determined value (in mine in case that PPTP), saves the alteration. make cloneconfig make dep make clean make bzlilo make modules make modules_install mk_initrd lilo reboot later I receive Starting Firewall Initialization (phase 2 of 3) iptables: Invalid argument Starting Firewall Initialization (phase 3 of 3) iptables: Invalid argument somebody can help me? where I am missed? Looks like SuSEfirewall2 does not like something. So the question is does your new kernel boot without any problems with the start of the SuSEfirewall2. If it does when you issue "/sbin/SuSEfirewall2" command what happens -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
