How does one take screen shots in KDE.. any utility.. ?
In the past, I used pixie (plus?) that came w/SuSE 8.1 -- it isn't obvious, meaning there isn't a "toolbar" item for taking screenshots, only menu items, so I suspect this one gets overlooked quite often. When you do take the picture, you're given a couple of options: 1) take a pic of the whole screen 2) take a pic of just one app if you choose #2, the cursor turns into a cross-hair allowing you to select the window you want [make sure it is already "near the top" before you try to take the pic...] There are options to "delay" the shot [in case you need to open a context menu and want to show that] as well as remove the pixie windows before taking the shot [mainly for "full-screen" mode] Unfortunately, there is a conflict between pixie and KDE 3.1 -- I didn't bother to check into it, merely resolved it be removing pixie -- I might want to ressurect it again, so if anyone does have pixie on a system w/KDE 3.1, what did you do to resolve the conflict? [or can it be ignored? I think the conflict had to do with particular icons...] -- Yet another Blog: http://osnut.homelinux.net
