[Newbie] I don't know why...

Hi, guys...
I just installed SuSE 8.0 to Dell Inspiron 5000e (Notebook, 3com 574TX Ethernet card).
The problem is that I can't use an internet even though the system seems to detect my pcmcia card.
I could see this message, "Sep 16 19:32:37 linux dhcpcd[743]: timed out waiting for a valid DHCP server response"
Could you tell me what I have to do...?
By the way, I'm using a Cable modem (DHCP)
