Well I'm glad you didn't try to overwlem me, but even pident seems to have. I did ./configre make and make install with no errors but it is no where to be found on my system.
Most likely it got installed in /usr/local, try typing in: whereis pidentd in a console and see what it saids. You should really follow Christopher's instructions and install the SuSE precompiled package instead. It will be much easier for you to setup.
