No, this is why you use a distribution. The package is on your cds (run 'yast2 -i pident' as root) or, if you don't have cds, download it from from ftp.suse.com: ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.0/suse/n4/pidentd-3.1a19-157.i386.rpm -- -ckm
