Yup, this works. :-)
I saw that method on the apt for SuSE web page, but I am much more
clever than those guys..... NOT!!
(In Afrikaans we have a saying for people like me: "Slim vang sy baas"
- meaning that if you think you are the boss of clever, that
'cleverness' will catch up with you and bite you)
I suppose synaptic needs to be bound to the terminal is was launched
from.
